Early Life: Jaime Algusuari was born in Valencia Spain, on June 17th 1973, he first watched his father race Formula One racing cars before his mother tpld him he was a wizard, he was then taken to Little Hanglengton where he learned more about magic. He never saw his father again. At age seven he realised he could do extremely weird things that defied the laws of physics, this meant his mother was telling the truth. At age 11 he received a letter with a special stamp in green writing, he read it and found he had managed to gain a place at Hogwarts. His first trip to diagon alley in 1984 was memorable for the fact his wand was a very unusual combination, Ollivander said that was the only Ivy wand he had ever sold.
Hogwarts Years: On September the 1st 1984 Jaime boarded the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts. He was quite nervous about what house he was to be put in after finding out his mother was put in Ravenclaw. He then left the train and made his way via the historic Hogwarts boats and was placed in Gryffindor, which he was quite surprised at as he was told that families are usually in the same house. All the same his fellow Gryffindors were very nice and after the first wizarding war had ended just 3 years previously he had nothing to worry about.
His favourite lesson quickly became Defence Against the Dark Arts, a subject which he would teach later on in his life. He also started to despise some lessons as well, History of Magic being one of them, he would later completely miss History of Magic lessons thinking that theres better things to do in life than be taught absolutely nothing by some semi-transparent drawling figure. His first two years were not very sucessful in any way of glory. Gryffindor didn't win the Inter-House cup or the quidditch cup, but he still enjoyed them two years. What really surprised him was the attitude of the Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. He expected some sort of strict terrifying figure with a booming voice who would be handing out detentions to nyone who chewed to loudly while eating, what he found instead of course was a man who had a very soft voice and was very kind and odd.
In his third year things got slightly more interesting, of course he took more subjects, he wasn't sure which subjects to take so he decided to take Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes, this turned out to be a mistake as he hated all three. However he was surprisingly good at CoMC. The other thing that happened in his third year is that he made the quidditch team as a chaser, and Gryffindor won the quidditch cup under the captaincy of Charlie Weasley, Jaime scored a record numbr of goals and basically ran the show against Ravenclaw, his mothers house. This year was one he really enjoyed.
His fourth year passed without any real event worth mentioning, Jaime was still on the quidditch team and scoring goals wildly, but other than that not much happened. However of course in his fifth year he had to take his O.W.Ls, he had an ambition toe ithe rbe an Auror or a Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, it turns out he became the latter. But of course first he had to suceed in his O.W.Ls. He also had to become an expert duelist, but by that time, it was no problem and he suceeded both with ease.
Fortunately for Jaime he was able to drop CoMC, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy and History of Magic. As well as Astronomy. He kept all other subjects he took.
His sixth year again went without much to talk about he became the best at DADA and the best at Dueling however apart from that not much.
His seventh year of course he had to take his N.E.W.Ts, he Suceeded in geetting at least an EE in all of them. He also won the Godric Gryffindor award in his Seventh year as well as the player of the Season award in quidditch.
DADA Professor, Tragedy, Sacking, and Rise Again
After his school work it took him a whole nine years before he became DADA Professor, apparently the nine years beore were spent travelling around the world looking for ideas. When he became DADA Prof he was very sucesful, but for some reason he found himself leaning towards Hufflepuff rther than Gryffindor as he had expected. This led him to believe that he was really a Hufflepuff at heart or that he had the best of both qualities of each house. However on November 24th 2000 his mother died, and while he took a few months off for this, an entrely new regime came to power at Hogwarts.
He returned to find the entire staff reset and because of this he decided to go and search the world again. When he came back he was more confident and a better person he thought. He quickly sought after the Head of Hufflepuff job and easily got it. He then went after the Head of Defence Against the Dark Arts and after a while, he got that too. This put him in a better position than he was and made himt hink that his life had turned out better for the new regime rather than worse. He also became an Animagus, which he thinks he will be able to use very well.
